American actress and singer Renee Rapp has horrified Kylie Minogue fans with her awkward admission during a recent interview.

The Mean Girls star, 24, sat down for an interview with UK media outlet Magic Radio to promote the rebooted film, where she participated in a pop culture Q&A.

One question in particular had Rapp completely stumped – ‘Who played the green fairy in Moulin Rouge?’

Of course, it was none other than pop queen Minogue, who had the cameo in the Baz Luhrmann-directed musical film.

But not only did Rapp not know this, she was still left scratching her head after being told the answer.

“I don’t know who that … Does she have prosecco now?” Rapp asked.

Renee Rapp thought Kylie Minogue was famous for her “prosecco”.

Rapp is somewhat on track. Minogue, 55, launched her own wine brand Kylie Minogue Wines in 2020, though it’s hardly her legacy.

“I was in London last month and somebody was like, ‘We brought Kylie Minogue prosecco’,” Rapp continued. “Who is this? Who is this queen? Is she an actor?”

British interviewer Olivia Marks told Rapp she needed to “get on” the Minogue bandwagon, adding, “She’s the best. An incredible singer.”

Diehard fans flooded social media losing their minds over how Rapp – a pop singer and Broadway performer – had not even briefly heard of Minogue.Speaking to host Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, Rapp was asked which Real Housewives star she could see herself being friends with, before proceeding to choose Karen Huger, 60.

“There’s something about Karen that is just so funny to me, and I’m very ageist,” Rapp candidly said, which was met with bewilderment from Cohen.

“What?! You don’t like older people?” he asked.

“I just feel like, I don’t know, I was always the younger one in situations and millennial women were always coming for me, and I was just like, ‘Shut up’,” she continued, as Cohen expressed his shock at her answer.
