As Hugh Jackman embarks on a new chapter as a single man, the actor is reportedly looking to share his story.

According to a new report, the 54-year-old is “in the early stages” of writing his memoir – and it will apparently contain “big bombshells”.

The development comes weeks after Jackman and his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, announced their split, saying they were separating to pursue “individual growth”.

“Hugh’s choosing (to write this book) now because he’s finally (being) honest with himself (and) the divorce and this book is the first step,” a source told US Weekly.

The source added that “big bombshells” would be revealed.

“The content will be Hugh speaking about his life. He’ll be opening up about his life like never before.

“It’s been very healing for him.”

The source also addressed the split between the Australian actors.

“There was no drama or fighting — not that anyone is aware of anyway,” the source said.

“Hugh and Deb just reached a point where they were more like best friends.

“Their lives were so interwoven, so it’s an extremely tricky and gut-wrenching process dividing everything up and figuring out who gets what in terms of assets and finances.”

Jackman and Furness announced their split on September 15.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the stars said in a joint statement to People.

“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

The couple met in 1995 on the set of an Australian television show on which both were actors.

They married in 1996 and had two children: Oscar, now 23, and Ava, now 18.

Jackman has been embracing his single life since the announcement.

On Monday, he joined Taylor Swift’s inner circle at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to watch the NFL match between Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets.

He shared a selfie from the event, alongside actors Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively and pop superstar Swift, who is rumoured to be dating the Chief’s Travis Kelce.

Meanwhile, another report has claimed Jackman’s “biggest priority” is now to find love again, with his inner circle expecting The Greatest Showman star to “remarry fairly quickly”.

“Finding love again is one of his biggest priorities,” New Idea reported on Wednesday.

“Everyone expects Hugh will remarry fairly quickly.

“He’s such a soft-hearted person and is likely to fall for the first girl who catches his eye.

“There’s a freeway of ladies lined up around the block to date him.”
