Delta Goodrem announces major Netflix news: ‘We have a date’

Delta Goodrem has announced a new international project, delighting her fans by revealing she is taking to the skies.

The Australian singer has made her return to acting, starring in the new Netflix film Love Is In The Air.

Taking to Instagram to share that a release date has been announced, the 38-year-old posted a series of new photos from the film.

“We have a date!!! Love Is In The Air our new movie comes out September 28th on @netflix ✈️ Can’t wait for you to see this one👩🏼‍✈️,” she wrote on Tuesday night.

Goodrem stars as a seaplane pilot who finds herself falling for a man who is slowly sinking her business.

The international film was shot in Airlie Beach in Queensland’s Whitsundays.

Fans of the singer took to the comments section to share their delight at the new project.

“She’s done it again,” one said.

“Movie of the year incoming,” added a user.

“This is everything!! I can’t wait to watch. We’ve missed you on the big screen,” a commenter said.

Goodrem began her acting career in 1993 and has starred in various TV shows and movies including Hating Alison Ashley, A Country Practice and Neighbours.

Her previous most recent acting credit was in 2018 when she played Olivia Newton-John in the miniseries Olivia: Hopelessly Devoted to You.

The new film is a part of streaming giant Netflix’s investment in Australian-made content and one of four new Australian titles soon expected to land on the platform.

Goodrem has had a busy year, launching her own record label ATLED Records and a new album titled Back To Your Heart along with the new film.
