‘I still cannot believe this happened to me.’

A young woman has spilled the tea on what she alleges was the bizarre reason she was uninvited to her friend’s wedding — just days after a “fun” weekend away turned into the “hen’s party from hell”.

Amy Dickinson, from Queensland, claims she had spent more than $1000 on flights and hotel, as well as splurged $650 on a “beautiful” designer dress to wear to the bride’s upcoming nuptials.

However, she found herself banned from attending the destination wedding.

According to Amy, the bride-to-be was furious with her for uploading a picture of the hen’s party on Instagram before her.

The bitter feud all started during a girls’ weekend away for the hen’s party.

“I saw her true colours,” Amy, 30, tells 7Life about her now-former friend.

Amy Dickinson has spilled the tea on what she alleges was the bizarre reason she was uninvited to her best friend’s wedding.

Sharing her wild story in a now-viral video on social media, she claims she forked out more than $1000 on flights and accommodation for the hen’s party.

“I would have been fine spending that amount of money if the weekend was fun. However, the weekend was just spent walking on eggshells,” she claims.

Things escalated after the bride allegedly decided to ban phones at the table when the group was dining at a restaurant.

Amy claims they were allowed to take pictures but the bride simply didn’t want everyone to sit on their phones editing photos.

“At the dinner, another close friend of mine started taking photos of me and the bride. All of a sudden the bride loses her s***. She’s like, ‘Stop taking photos of me, they’re going to be gross’,” she claims.

“The poor girl that was taking photos ran to the bathroom crying and I ran to the bathroom after her to comfort her.”

When the pair returned to the table, Amy claims they were given the silent treatment.

“No one would talk to us,” Amy claims.

“Then the bride started going on about how she was so embarrassed that we had to leave dinner immediately.

“We called two cabs — me and my friend who I comforted in the bathroom in one car and the rest of the party get in the other.

“We agreed to meet at this specific spot in town but when our cab rocked up, we realised the other cab wasn’t there and the girls were nowhere to be found. We started calling them but no one picked up their phones.”

According to Amy, the bride-to-be was furious with her for uploading a picture of the hen’s party on Instagram before her.

Eventually, Amy and her friend found the group at another restaurant.

“I thought by that time everyone would have simmered down a little bit and I could pull up a seat and we could all act like adults but again, I was wrong,” she claims.

“I pulled up a seat next to the bride… I started to publicly apologise in front of the group. I was like, ‘Look babe if you think I was choosing my other friend over you when I went to the bathroom to console her that’s not what was happening. I just wanted to make sure she was okay’.”

But that wasn’t the reason the bride was upset.

According to Amy, the bride accused her of uploading a photo of the hen’s party on social media before her.

“I was like, ‘What? All of a sudden, this fight is about Instagram?’” she claims.

“Mind you, everyone else at the table had uploaded photos before her. I didn’t understand that this was a protocol. If it were, she should have said so and I wouldn’t have uploaded before her.

“But the photo I had uploaded had nothing to do with the hen’s party itself, it was just a beautiful scenic shot.”

‘Shocked and appalled’

The next day Amy tried to apologise to the bride.

“She took me out to the balcony where she starts screaming at me, saying ‘I shouldn’t have to say ‘do this, do that’, you should already know that uploading a photo before me is not okay’,” she claims.

“I was shocked and appalled by her behaviour. Never in my life has somebody spoken to me like that.”

After she was uninvited to the wedding, Amy says she blocked the bride.

After returning home from the hen’s party, Amy received a phone call from the bride.

“I’m thinking, either she’s going to apologise or she’s uninviting me to the wedding,” she says.

“Keep in mind, this girl knew that I had booked my flights. Not only that, I booked my first ever business class flight and I paid for my accommodation and bought a dress for $650.

“Despite that… I pick up the call, she goes ‘Hey Amy, I’ve been thinking about what happened over the weekend and I just don’t feel comfortable having you at the wedding.’

“My response was, ‘Thank god. Being stranded on yet another island with you is my idea of hell. Of course I’m not going to your wedding, I couldn’t think of anything worse’.”

After hanging up the phone, Amy blocked the bride.

“I never spoke to her again,” she says.

The drama unfolded many years ago — but resurfaced this week after Amy went viral for spilling the tea online.

“I still cannot believe this happened to me. This is the meanest thing a girl has ever done to me,” she claims.
