The real AFL action is set to get underway with the finals series kicking off this week.

September is upon us which means it’s effectively all or nothing time for the top eight teams on the ladder.

The first week of finals wasn’t locked in until the final game of the 2023 home and away season after the GWS Giants booked their spot after defeating Carlton.

With week one done and dusted, and only six teams left in the competition, will your team make it to the 2023 Grand Final?

Finals Fixture – dates and start times

WEEK 1

First Qualifying Final: (1) Collingwood vs (4) Melbourne

Thursday, 7 September 7:20pm at the MCG

Result: Collingwood 60 to Melbourne 53

First Elimination Final: (5) Carlton vs (8) Sydney Swans

Friday, 8 September 7:50pm at the MCG

Result: Carlton 74 to Sydney 68

Second Elimination Final: (6) St Kilda vs (7) GWS Giants

Saturday, 9 September 3:20pm at the MCG

All finals will be broadcast live on Fox Footy as well as Seven. The Grand Final will be played live only on Seven.

All finals — except for the Grand Final — will be streamed on Kayo Sport. For the first time, the AFL Grand Final will be available to watch for free on 7plus across all devices.
